Prepare Your Body with Spinning Babies®

Spinning Babies® Birth Preparation Class

Imagine your body feeling soft and easy, making space for your baby to be born smoothly. Learn how to gently release tension where your body tends to hold — exploring different birth positions for each stage of labor.

Do you feel overwhelmed by the many different courses and classes around birth? Do you wonder if all the information you’re collecting is actually going to help you in the moment supreme? Look no further! This class is developed by midwives and prenatal bodyworkers. During the class you will:

What to expect?

A complete 3-hour class, either in the comfort of your own home or in a small group setting (max 5 couples) to allow enough time for hands-on practice.

During labor, the baby turns through three levels of the pelvis. Learn techniques to help muscles in your pelvis support an easier birth. Together, you and your birth partner can use these techniques before and during labor to help “make room for baby!” Spinning Babies reveals how the baby can find optimal positions for labor and allows birth to be more comfortable.

Your Investment

Learning these techniques is like learning a new language — this class gives you a solid start, but it’s the regular practice that really helps your body get ready for birth. That’s why starting as early as 20 weeks is recommended — it gives your body more time to find balance and alignment.

What will you learn in this class?

Spinning Babies Techniques

The Spinning Babies approach uses the three principles: balance, gravity and movement. Fetal positions are not random. You'll learn how to make more room for the baby.

Daily Essential Activities

You'll learn how to lengthen muscles and increase range of motion in your pregnant body to make space for baby’s best birth position.

The Three Balances℠

You'll learn a sequence of positions and exercises that help your birth muscles to relax and add comfort now to ease birth later.

Birth Positions

You will learn and practice with your partner different birth positions that open the pelvis to let the baby come through more easily.

Birth Partner Support

This course is designed for pregnant people and their birth partners. They will learn how to help you find more comfort during pregnancy and ease in birth.

Frequently Asked Questions

You’re welcome from around 20–25 weeks of pregnancy onward. That gives you enough time to practice what you’ve learned and gently prepare your body for birth — though it’s still beneficial even later in pregnancy. Learning these techniques is like learning a new language — this class gives you a solid start, but it’s the regular practice that really helps your body get ready for birth. Even if you’re 40 weeks pregnant, you can still benefit 🙂

No! This is a wide-spread misconception, even by some care providers. While it can be especially helpful if your baby is breech, the class is meant for all pregnant people. It’s about improving comfort, balance, and space in your body, helping baby find their best position — whatever that may be at the moment. If you start early on in pregnancy, you might even prevent a breech position. Prevention is always better than cure.

Spinning Babies focuses on how your baby navigates your body during pregnancy and birth. It’s less about general movement or fitness, and more about using specific techniques to balance your soft tissues (like fascia, ligaments, and muscles). That can help baby settle into an ideal position for birth — and bring more ease and flow to labor.

Yes and no! We won’t be covering things like different stages of labor, the health care system around birth and options for pain relief. Instead, this class supports the physical preparation of your body — so you can go into birth with more relaxation, confidence, and comfort.

Absolutely. The movements are gentle, slow, and adapted to pregnancy. You don’t need to be flexible or fit — just curious and open to exploring your body in a new way. It’s not a typical work out class. Instead of building up strength and endurance, we focus on body balance to make more space for the baby.

Yes, I do offer birth support as a doula. I provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout your labor and birth. I help you stay relaxed, guide you through different positions, and offer comfort measures like massage. Read more about that here.
